Whatever your
interests, the Les Turner ALS Foundation can help you put your time
and talents to work in a worthwhile setting that will benefit the
ALS community.
Tag Days Captain
The Foundation relies upon dedicated volunteer captains to coordinate
Tag Days drives in their home or work communities. Captains are
responsible for selecting a May weekend for the drive, securing
locations for volunteer placement, recruiting and scheduling volunteers
and collecting and counting the money. The Foundation staff provides
training, guidance, support and all the necessary supplies for
the drive.
Tag Days Volunteer
Tag Days volunteers are assigned a 2-3 hour shift collecting donations
at local stores, banks and street corners in their community. Tag
Days are held on weekends in May in conjunction with National ALS
Awareness Month.
Special Events
Volunteer
Volunteers at our events help register participants, staff auction
tables, sell raffle tickets, supervise refreshment tables and other
assignments as needed. Special events include:
- Lou Gehrig Day at Wrigley Field - Sunday, July 26, 2009
- ALS Walk4Life
- Saturday, September 12, 2009
Join the Young ProfessionALS

Organize a
Fundraising Event
Create and run a fundraising event to benefit the Les Turner ALS
Foundation. Special events are a great way to honor or remember
a person with ALS. Golf tournaments, marathon participation, casual
days and private parties are just a few of the ways individuals
and organizations have raised funds for the Foundation in recent
years.
