Volunteer

2007 Schaumburg Flyers 007.jpgLooking for an easy way to make a difference? Consider serving as a volunteer for the Les Turner ALS Foundation, either for a special event or on an ongoing basis. We are always looking for faces new and old to join us in the fight against ALS. No special skills are needed to volunteer. If you're willing to help, there's a job for you! The rewards are well worth a few hours of effort.

As a volunteer, you might:

  • Don a yellow vest and collect Tag Days donations for two hours on a Saturday in May
  • Pass out t-shirts and water to walkers in our annual ALS Walk4Life or to runners at one of our Run4ALS Signature 5K events
  • Sell raffle tickets at our Diamond Dare charity baseball games at Alexian Field in Schaumburg
  • Team up with a neighbor to contact participants for a Family and Community Event

And these are just a few of the ways you can help. Already volunteering and looking to get more involved? Consider:

  • Becoming a Tag Days Captain, recruiting and scheduling volunteers to collect donations, and making sure they have everything they need to raise as much money as possible
  • Using our Family and Community Events page to start your own fundraiser
  • Joining the Young ProfessionALS, a group of those young and young at heart, to plan fundraisers and awareness events
