For 18 years, the Foundation has teamed up with the Chicago Cubs to celebrate Lou Gehrig Day. This exciting day starts with a pre-party featuring a full menu of food and drink, a live auction, door prizes, a raffle, commemorative t-shirts, and appearances by foundation spokespeople such as WXRT DJ Lin Brehmer, author Jonathan Eig, and 1985 Chicago Bears Superbowl winner Keith Van Horne. The party then moves to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game.
