For 18 years, the Foundation has teamed up with the Chicago Cubs to celebrate Lou Gehrig Day. This exciting day starts with a pre-party featuring a full menu of food and drink, a live auction, door prizes, a raffle, commemorative t-shirts, and appearances by foundation spokespeople such as WXRT DJ Lin Brehmer, author Jonathan Eig, and 1985 Chicago Bears Superbowl winner Keith Van Horne. The party then moves to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game.
Our 2012 Lou Gehrig Day at Wrigley Field will be Saturday, July 14. Mark your calendars now! The pre-party will be held at The Vic Theatre (3145 N. Sheffield Ave) from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. As always, the party will feature unlimited food and drink, an exciting live auction emceed by WXRT's Lin Brehmer, and a few other surprises. The party then moves to Wrigley Field for a 3:05pm game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Tickets for both game and pre-party are $100 for adults or $75 for children. Game-only tickets are $75 (all ages) and party-only tickets are $50 (all ages). Tickets will go on sale later this spring.
