The Les Turner ALS Foundation strives to increase ALS education and awareness within the ALS community, medical field and general public. The Foundation has developed a number of valuable resources for patient and public education, including:
Les Turner ALS Foundation Lecture Series |
This lecture series, held at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, aims to increase scientific interest in ALS as well as build bridges and collaborations with the local scientific community. The series is geared toward research and medical professionals and features presentations by individuals prominent in the fields of neurodegeneration, ALS, genetics and cell biology.

To help increase awareness and education about ALS, the Les Turner
ALS Foundation sponsors and participates in various programs throughout
the year.
Healthcare
In-services
The Foundation's health professional staff is available to give
in-service education about ALS and its management to health agencies, hospices, nursing home, employers and other community organization.
Videos/DVD
"Ventilation: The Decision Making Process," is a 20-minute video/DVD designed for ALS patients, their family members and health professionals. It includes interviews with three ventilator dependent ALS patients, family members and the medical staff from the Lois Insolia ALS Center at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Resource Guide
The Les Turner ALS Foundation Resource Guide provides information and resources for ALS patients, family members, caregivers and health professionals. Assembled by the team members of the Lois Insolia ALS Center at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, the Resource Guide is available online for viewing, downloading and printing with Adobe Acrobat or you may order the print version through the Foundation.
